Alejandro Mark Amiama was born in Calcutta, India and raised in New York.  While in school he liked to draw and daydream.  Since graduating St. John’s and Adelphi Universities, Alejandro has gone on to be an elementary, middle school teacher and administrator.  He has also written several children’s books and published fictional and non-fictional books for adults.  Alejandro lives in France with his wife and collaborator, Athena.  In addition to teaching and writing he is an avid skateboarder and musician, inspired every day to keep things fun by their son, River.
